Maria Morukian

Ember Co-Founder, President and Founder MSM Global Consulting

Maria is an organizational consultant, coach, and facilitator specializing in diversity, equity, inclusion, and intercultural competence. She has worked with hundreds of clients in developing sustainable and transformational change efforts to build thriving organizational communities. Maria has worked with leaders around the world, including Mexico, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Kosovo, Colombia, China, Kenya, Lebanon, and Senegal.

Maria is on the faculty at American University, is a TEDx speaker, and is published in Forbes, Ellevate, and TD Magazine. Maria hosts a podcast on critical DEI issues called Culture Stew. Maria is author of the book, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for Trainers: Fostering DEI in the Workplace (ATD Press, 2022).

Maria earned a dual Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Michigan in Organizational Studies and Spanish, and a Master’s Degree from American University in International Communication. She lives in Washington, DC with one husband, two daughters, and two cats, all of them rambunctious!

Chris Haigh

Ember Co-Founder and True Change Associates Founder and Lead Consultant

Chris is the Founder & Lead Consultant for True Change Associates (TCA) and has over 25 years of experience working with academic institutions, corporations, and nonprofit organizations focusing on diversity and inclusion, equity and social justice, leadership development, and team development. TCA works with a small portfolio of domestic and international clients on long term change which incorporates education, skill building, strategy development and coaching.
Chris also partners with global leadership development firms to deliver programs with a DEI lens to clients in all sectors, serves as a Co-Lead Facilitator for the LeaderShape Institute, and as a Facilitator for Outward Bound Professional. Lastly, They are a former faculty member for Merrimack College in their Higher Education Graduate program, and for the Federal Executive Institute within the Federal Government.
Chris is a skilled relationship builder, strategic planner, and team energizer, and loves helping people and organizations be their best selves while contributing to a socially just world. Roger Moreano

Founder, Bridges 4 Justice and Ember Facilitator

Roger has worked in the DEI space for over twenty-five years, and is passionate about social justice advocacy, anti-racism work, student development and organizational leadership development. He is the Founder & President of BRIDGES Consulting, LLC. – a diversity & inclusion organization which conducts Organizational Leadership, Culturally Responsive Training, Equity & Inclusion, LGBTQ and Anti-Racism training for K-12 schools, colleges, universities, and non profit organizations.

Roger is the former Assistant Dean of Students & Director of Equity and Inclusion at Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Roger is a proud first generation American of Puerto Rican and Ecuadorian descent, bilingual and fluent in Spanish and English, and was the first in his family to earn a college degree. Roger earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science-International Relations from Northern Illinois University and a Master of Business degree from Webster University in St. Louis. He also co-authored the book, Doing Social Justice Education: A Practitioner’s Guide for Workshops and Structured Conversations (Stylus Publishing, 2020) and lives in Gurnee, IL with his family. Nicole Williams

Founder, Changes Spaces and Ember Facilitator
(She, They)

Nicole Williams is a trained and experienced educator, advocate for justice, equity, diversity, inclusion & belonging (JEDIB), speaker, curriculum developer, professional development trainer, coach, community collaborator, and consultant. Meditation and reflection have played a significant role in recent considerations for how she, as someone who holds intersecting marginalized and privileged identities, can best seek to co-create or co-nourish spaces of appreciation and change in a society and world which is socialized towards the very opposite.

Nicole uses theoretical models and conceptual frameworks based in justice and equity to provide education and professional development in a variety of content areas including leadership, justice & equity, wellness, and strategy for personal and organizational transformation. They use their voice to take up space and secure seats for themself and others, very much acknowledging that sometimes the tables and chairs do not always exist and must be built. Melissa AB Graetz

Ember Program Director and Director of Content and Operations, MSM Global Consulting (She/Her/Hers)

Melissa AB Graetz (She/her) is an innovative leader with over a decade of experience in mission-driven initiatives. She specializes in DEIB instructional design, capacity building, and business/event operations. Passionate about fostering community engagement and driving impactful change, Melissa champions human potential and flourishing through dynamic projects and programs focused on creativity and culture. Her commitment to bridging divides is evident in her work. Melissa holds a Master of Arts in Social Enterprise from American University and a Master of Arts in Arts Leadership Administration from Syracuse University. She recently earned a Training and Facilitation Certificate from the Association for Talent Development. Originally from Syracuse, NY, Melissa currently resides in Walden, CO, with her husband, 3 cats, 1 dog, and 14 koi fish, and is continually trying to find a fabric arts craft that she feels confident in.
